Ginger Angry With Me

I think the test failed — pretending that I wasn’t here. Yesterday I tried to hide myself from Ginger and Cross. I didn’t step outside at all. But when I realized they didn’t eat the fish Christophe left on the porch, I went out to look for them. I didn’t want them to sleep with an empty stomach. I only found Cross, so we went searching for Ginger together. I even went out twice, but still couldn’t find her. I guess she was angry with me.

I waited until 01:00 but there was still no sign of her. After that, I took a shower and went to bed. When I checked the CCTV, I saw she didn’t return until 04:41. And the tuna I left outside was never touched. I don’t know if she was punishing me, truly angry with me, or if something was wrong with that tin of tuna.

Even this morning, when I called her, she took her time to come back. And she didn’t follow me like she always does. She usually follows me when I water the plants, but today she didn’t — only Cross did.

Ginger and Cross are the most important part of my life now. I never realized I could love someone this much. Traveling back to HK, being away from them, makes me feel sick. Not being able to hold them for over 20 hours already feels unbearable. I really don’t know what I will do on the day I get on the plane. I wish my God could help me figure it out. I just hope they will still be here when I return.
