My New Cat Ginger

I feel like those new parents who can’t stop talking about their newborn baby, bragging about how smart and beautiful their child is. I’m so lucky I met Maomao a couple of years ago, and now I have Ginger, who has such a similar personality.

The last couple of nights, after she ate, I asked her to walk with me from my front yard and circle back to my front door. It’s just a one-minute walk, but she always follows me. I wasn’t holding any food or treats, just a hair brush. She walks with me like a dog without a leash. On the first round, she poos. On the second round, she pees — exactly like walking a dog.

On Sunday 08th, she nearly had a fight with Leeloo. Somehow Ginger wasn’t able to jump high that night. Maybe she ate too much, or she’s still too small. But I guess I’ve been feeding her a bit too well. When Leeloo came into the yard like always, Ginger began to growl. I could see on her face that she didn’t like another female cat around. She tried to chase Leeloo, but Leeloo jumped onto the boundary wall. Ginger fell when she tried. I had to use more food to calm her down and say nice things to make her feel confident again.

Last night Lilu came earlier than Ginger. He had dinner first, then ran off after cleaning himself. Half an hour later, Ginger arrived. While she was eating, Lilu came back and lay in the yard a few meters away. Ginger didn’t growl, but she ran toward him. From the top camera view, it looked like they kissed. Then both ran in different directions. Of course Ginger ran to me. I asked her if she kissed Lilu, but she didn’t respond. When I’m ready, I’ll upload that “kissing video.”

GEO

Today I had my second GEO class. There was some improvement from the teacher, Larry. Last week he was mostly reading from his notes, and there were a few mistakes. Maybe someone complained or asked him to treat all of us like a blank white page. Today the class felt more enjoyable.

I also realized there is a lot of work to do on my website to make it more crawlable and likeable for AI bots and search engines.
